USA freezes issuance of immigrant visas for citizens of 75 countries
The freeze on visa issuance for 75 countries announced by the United States this Wednesday (14) does not affect tourists or business travel, according to the American State Department.
The government informed that the temporary suspension will only apply to immigrant visas. The tourist visa is part of the "non-immigrant" category, as are temporary work, study, exchange and business visas.
"The Department of State will suspend the processing of immigrant visas from 75 countries whose migrants receive social benefits from the American people at unacceptable rates.
