US Supreme Court bans trans women from women's sports

The Supreme Court of the United States announced this Tuesday (30) that the country's states cannot ban trans women in women's sports.

The decision is a defeat for US President Donald Trump, who advocated a total ban and in 2025 signed a decree to ban the participation of girls and transgender women in women's sporting events in schools and colleges.
The decision announced this Tuesday concerns whether states could ban transgender athletes from competing on women's teams in public schools and universities.
The discussion also has an ideological background due to the influence of a conservatism that has influenced Trump's public policies since he returned to the White House in early 2025.
