The refinery capacity utilization rate rose from 91.6% to 94.5%, above the projected increase of 92.4%.

Oil inventories at the Cushing distribution center fell 2.794 million barrels to 23.024 million barrels. Average daily oil production rose to 13.715 million barrels during the week.
