"US Central Command forces began launching additional self-defense strikes today at 6:15 p.m. [Brasília time] against multiple targets in Iran, on orders from the commander in chief. The strikes are a response to Iran's unwarranted and continued aggression," Centcom said in a statement.
This is the second day in a row that the US has launched bombings against Iran since the beginning of the ceasefire in the war between the two countries. It is not yet known what impact this Wednesday's attacks will have on the truce in the conflict, which has been fragile since its beginning in April.
Earlier, Iran had promised a "tough response" to any US aggression this Wednesday, and said that a new escalation of the conflict would not be restricted just to the Middle East. The Iranian government had not yet launched bombings in response to the US attack until the last update of this report.
