US judge rejects Elon Musk's request to overturn verdict on fraud against Twitter investors

A United States federal judge rejected this Monday (6) Elon Musk's request to annul the verdict of a jury that concluded that the billionaire defrauded Twitter investors during the process of purchasing the social network.

The judge, however, considered that Musk cannot be held responsible for one of the tweets questioned in the action.
District judge Charles Breyer, from San Francisco, also denied Musk's request to remove the class action status of the lawsuit filed by investors. Furthermore, it complied with the plaintiffs' request for interest to be charged on the compensation for the period prior to the sentence.
