Uruguayan defender is among Corinthians' least used reserves this season

Signed at the beginning of the current season after not renewing his contract with Peñarol-URU, right-back Pedro Milans was Corinthians' least used substitute in the team in the first six months of the year. In total, there were seven matches, all as a starter, accumulating three wins and four draws - 61.9% success rate. During this period, he was part of the champion squad of the Brazilian Super Cup, against Flamengo, at Mané Garrincha, in Brasília, in February.

The survey was published by the Fiel Imprensa profile, on X, formerly Twitter. Milans arrived to be Matheuzinho's immediate backup at right-back but, so far, he has not established himself at the club, having played in five games under the command of Dorival Júnior and only two with Fernando Diniz, who has been in the role since the first week of April.

At one point, Diniz even used the Raniele steering wheel improvised in the sector in the games against Mirassol (F) and Vasco da Gama (C) for the Brazilian Championship. In these two games, Matheuzinho was absent because he was serving a suspension and punishment from the Supreme Court of Sports Justice (STJD) due to an attack on the face of striker Fláco Lopez, from Palmeiras, in the Derby between the teams at the Neo Química Arena in mid-April.

Before arriving at Corinthians, Pedro Milans had spells at Juventud and Peñarol, both from Uruguay. In the first team, he played between 2019 and 2022, where he played 17 games and scored one goal. For the second team, he played between 2022 and 2025, being on the field 111 times, scoring two goals and providing five assists. There, he won: Uruguayan League (2024) and AUF Uruguayan Cup (2025).

Corinthians, it is worth mentioning, will only return to the pitch in the week of July 22nd, to face Remo, at the Neo Química Arena, in the final round of the first round of the 2026 Brazilian Championship. At the moment, Timão is in tenth place with 24 points - 18 goals scored and 19 conceded. Shortly before that, on July 12, Alvinegro should play a friendly against FC Cascavel, in Paraná.
