From next Tuesday (26th), Brazilian workers will be able to use part of their FGTS balance (Guarantee Fund for Length of Service) to pay off debts under the Desenrola 2.0 program. Workers interested in using their FGTS balance in the program must go to the bank and request registration in Desenrola 2.0. The limit for using resources is up to R$1,000 or the equivalent of 20% of the FGTS residual balance, whichever is lower.

To facilitate the process, 10,000 post offices will also be available to help workers register for the program. The measure aims to expand access, especially for those people who face difficulties in accessing traditional banking services.
