Corinthians visited, last Tuesday night (16), at Ginásio Poliesportivo Parque Celso Daniel, ABC Paulista, in a duel valid for the seventh round of the classification phase of the 2026 Paulista Futsal Championship, and beat the opponent by the score of 3 x 2. The result meant that the Corinthian team took the lead in the state with 16 points - five wins, one draw and one defeat - 22 goals scored and seven suffered.
Alvinegro's goals were scored by Patrick, Fellype Bancatelli and Vinicius Dias. The first and third scored for the first time for Timão. The duel also marked the debut of Patrick Perry (wing) and Michel Camargo (wing). The two arrived to reinforce the U20 futsal category of the Parque São Jorge club in this 2026 season.

Born in 2006, Patrick started the game among the reserves and entered the court seven minutes into the opening half, when he was called upon by coach Fernando Malafaia to participate in a set piece play. With his first touch of the ball, he finished in the goalkeeper's corner and was responsible for opening the scoring for Timão - he scored for the first time as a professional.
Prior to his arrival at Corinthians, he had spells at UJR Futsal (Rio Grande do Sul), Assoeva (Rio Grande do Sul) and Esporte Futuro (Paraná). Michel Camargo, born in 2006, in turn, entered the match with eight minutes left before halftime and played for Magnus Futsal before arriving at Parque São Jorge, in addition to earning call-ups for the Brazilian youth team.
It is worth remembering that, due to the serious financial situation, Corinthians promoted a spending cut on futsal for the 2026 season, using the youth categories as an alternative. Currently, 14 of the 23 players in the current squad are trained within the club, which corresponds to 61% of the total.
Corinthians now returns its focus to competing in the National Futsal League. Next Sunday (21), at 11am (Brasília time), Alvinegro will visit Campo Mourão, in Paraná, in a match valid for the ninth round of the classification phase of the national competition. Currently, Timão occupies only 13th place out of 16 teams, with five points, and faces a long negative sequence in the competition.
