Ultralight aircraft makes forced landing in a forest area in Greater BH

An ultralight aircraft made a forced landing late this Tuesday afternoon (26) in a forested area on Avenida Wimbledon, in Alphaville in the city of Nova Lima, in Greater Belo Horizonte.

According to initial information from the Minas Gerais Military Fire Department, the incident was recorded at around 5:05 pm, near the Reserva Laguna condominium, with access via the so-called "Trilha da Matinha".

Five fire engines were moved to the scene. Crews initially reported that there was no fire, explosion or smoke in the area of the incident.

According to reports obtained at the scene, the aircraft would be an ultralight and not a twin-engine plane. A video shows the location of the fall amid vegetation, close to a luxury condominium in the region. See below:

Preliminary information indicates that there were two occupants on the aircraft. According to a security guard and a condominium caretaker, both left the plane after the forced landing and were fine. Still according to initial reports, the occupants had left the place before the arrival of rescue teams.

According to information from firefighters, the initial suspicion is that the aircraft was heading towards Aerodrome 14 Bis before the incident.
