Ukraine launched hundreds of drones against Russia in the early hours of this Saturday (6), many of them against the Saint Petersburg region, where the last day of the country's most important economic forum is taking place.
Across Russia, the attacks left at least one dead and caused the fire of an oil deposit in the south.
Many drones targeted Saint Petersburg, in the second Ukrainian attack against the city in less than a week, although authorities have not reported serious damage.

Russia and Ukraine have intensified drone attacks in recent months, while diplomatic efforts led by the United States to end the war, which began in 2022, remain at a standstill.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, anti-aircraft defenses on Saturday intercepted a total of 376 drones "over the regions of Belgorod, Briansk, Kaluga, Kursk, Leningrad, Novgorod, Oriol, Pskov, Rostov, Ryazan, Smolensk, Tver and Tula, the Moscow region, the Republic of Crimea, the Republic of Abkhazia, and over the waters of the Azov and Black Seas." More than 140 were shot down in the Leningrad region surrounding Saint Petersburg, according to governor Aleksandr Drozdenko. In the southern Russian city of Ust-Labinsk, drones caused a fire at an oil depot.
And in the western region of Tver, debris from a drone killed a man, according to officials sites.

Zelensky described the attacks as a "fair response" to Russian aggression against Ukraine.
"It's time to end this war. But the ruler of Russia wants to continue fighting. That's why the Ukrainian sanctions against this aggression are working," he declared on refuse to meet with Zelensky.

In the south, authorities found the bodies of two men who had missing after an attack in Zaporizhzhia, according to regional governor Ivan Fedorov.
In the central region of Dnipropetrovsk, attacks with drones and Russian artillery killed one person and injured three others, regional governor Oleksandr Ganzha reported via Telegram.
