Two men are arrested after stealing an elderly person's cell phone in São Paulo

Two men, aged 22 and 21, were arrested red-handed after stealing the cell phone of an elderly man, aged 73, on Saturday afternoon (4), on Rua Treze de Maio, in Bela Vista, central region of São Paulo.

According to the incident report, the victim was waiting for a vehicle using an app with her cell phone in her hands when she was surprised by a motorcycle with two occupants. When they pulled the device, the victim tried to react and was knocked to the ground.

The pair fled, but were approached by police officers while patrolling Avenida Paulista. The agents located the cell phone, which was with the suspects.

The vehicle used in the crime was seized, and the cell phone was returned to the victim.

Those involved were taken to the 78th Police District, where they remained detained and detained by the courts.

The case was registered as theft and seizure of a vehicle.
