Tuma changes the composition of four committees of the Corinthians Deliberative Council

The president of the Corinthians Deliberative Council Romeu Tuma Júnior made official last Thursday (25) changes to the composition of the body's four permanent and temporary committees. The changes were formalized through an act of the presidency, which attributes the replacements to requests for dismissal presented by some counselors and the need to improve the functioning of the collegiate bodies, especially in the monitoring and budget inspection activities provided for in the club's statutes.
The changes affect the Finance, Football, Justice and Marketing Committees. On the Finance Committee, advisor Alexandre Palhares joins the board, filling the vacancy that was open since the departure of Carlos Roberto de Mello, who left the committee to take on a role on the Board's Financial Committee.

In the Football Commission, Ernesto Teixeira da Cunha and Everaldo Pereira da Silva were appointed to replace Francisco T. Papaiordanou and José Onofre de Souza Almeida. On the Justice Commission, Fernando do Amaral Perino takes over the position previously occupied by José Luis Cecílio.
The change that draws the most attention took place in the Marketing Committee. Councilor Amir Bertoni Gebara was appointed to replace Adriano Monteiro Alves, who requested his resignation a few weeks ago.
Adriano is the brother of former Corinthians president Duilio Monteiro Alves, who recently renounced his title as a redeemed member and definitively left the club's membership. Despite Duilio's departure from Corinthians association life, the document released by the president of the Council does not link Adriano's resignation request to the former agent's decision, limiting itself to informing that the changes result from requests presented by some members of the committees and administrative adjustments aimed at better functioning of the work.
In the act, Tuma states that the changes seek to adapt the composition of the committees to ensure greater efficiency in carrying out their duties, with emphasis on monitoring and supervising the budget. The president also ordered the Secretariat of the Deliberative Council to update the composition of the committees on the club's official website and widely publicize the changes to advisors and other internal bodies.
What are the Deliberative Council committees?
The permanent and transitional committees of the Deliberative Council are provided for in Corinthians' statute, through articles 83, 87 and 120, sole paragraph, in addition to article 19, §§ 1 and 2, of the body's Internal Regulations. The function of the collegial bodies is to assist the Council in analyzing specific topics and to improve dialogue between the club's different statutory bodies, in order to facilitate the exchange of information and ensure greater transparency in relations between the Deliberative Council, the board of directors, members and fans.
The current commissions were structured at the beginning of Romeu Tuma Júnior's management as head of the Deliberative Council. At the time, the president proposed the creation of 14 thematic commissions, including Finance, Football, Women and Statute Reform, with around 70 advisors appointed to join them.
In an interview with Central do Timão on the occasion, Tuma stated that the committees represent "a more practical way of meeting the club's demands" and pointed out that the member can directly seek out the advisor responsible for a given area to forward matters to the competent boards, always respecting the statutory responsibilities of each body.
