The President of the United States, Donald Trump, underwent a routine medical examination this Tuesday (26) and stated that "everything was perfect".

The check-up was done at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and lasted about three hours.

In a post on social media, Trump thanked the doctors and stated that he was returning to the White House.

The White House did not specify in advance what tests or procedures the president would undergo, other than to say he would receive routine medical and dental exams.

The White House physician is expected to release a report in the coming days.

Questions about Trump's health
At 79 years old, Donald Trump was the oldest American to be inaugurated as president.

The White House announced last year that he had been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency, a condition in which valves within certain veins do not function properly, which can allow blood to pool.

Bruises on his hands have also raised some questions about his health over the past year; however, the president attributed the high dose of aspirin to being more prone to bruising.

The last time Trump visited Walter Reed was in October 2025, when he said he had an MRI, although authorities have not disclosed why.

The White House called the October visit a "routine annual check-up," even though he had his annual physical in April 2025, a few months earlier.

Trump's doctor said MRIs of the president's cardiovascular system and abdomen performed at the time showed "perfectly normal" results.
