Trump suggests he will not attend formal Iran deal signing ceremony

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, suggested this Monday (15) that he will not attend the formal signing ceremony of the agreement with Iran, scheduled for this Friday (19) in Switzerland.

Trump explained that Vice President JD Vance will go to Geneva for the event.

"He was originally going to attend. I'll probably be gone by then," he said alongside French President Emmanuel Macron at the G7 summit in Évian-les-Bains.

Earlier, a US official said both Trump and Vance signed the deal virtually.
