Trump says US should attack Iran again this Wednesday
President Donald Trump has warned Iran that the United States will likely carry out new attacks on Wednesday night (8), following the offensives on Tuesday (7).
"We hit them hard last night and will most likely hit them hard again tonight," he said at the NATO summit in Turkey.
"They acted like bullies in the Middle East, but they're not the bullies anymore," he added.
Trump's statements came hours after he declared the US ceasefire with Iran ended following attacks by the Iranian regime on commercial ships near the Strait of Hormuz, although he indicated that he would allow negotiations to continue.
However, the president argued that Iranian leaders misled him by appearing open to a peace deal during negotiating sessions, only to later go back on their words.
"They go along with everything and then they hold a press conference saying we haven't even talked about this. They're crazy; there's something wrong with these people," Trump said.
The American leader added that he is "not satisfied" with Iran, saying that he is now considering carrying out more attacks, possibly as early as Wednesday night.
"We could hit them hard tonight, but let's see how things play out," he highlighted.
