Trump says US is considering buying stakes in artificial intelligence companies

United States President Donald Trump said on Friday (5) that his team is looking into the possibility of artificial intelligence (AI) companies offering participation to the American public.
Senior government officials have already begun discussions preliminary discussions with companies in the sector regarding the possible purchase of stakes by the State, according to the NOTUS news website. Trump commented on the topic when questioned by a journalist.
"There's something very interesting about this, where it almost becomes a partnership with the American public," he told reporters. "We're going to look into that."
The president also stated that he should meet with executives from AI companies at the White House "probably next week."
