Trump says the US is 'hope and light' in the world and that 'we don't want communists in our country'

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, praised this Sunday (5) the USA and the American people, stating that they are "light, hope and freedom" in the world, and said that "we do not want communists in our country".

Trump's speech took place on the National Mall, a landmark in the North American capital, to close the 4th of July holiday and celebrate 250 years of US Independence.
"For 250 years, the United States of America has been the hope, the promise, the light and the glory among all the nations of the world. God, we will always be like this - or even better. We are celebrating the triumph of freedom over tyranny", said Trump.
Trump then stated that the USA is the greatest country in the world, and that everyone else tries to be like the Americans, but they cannot. This is because the country was responsible for successfully fighting communism over the years.
"We don't want communists in our country, and the USA will never be a communist country. Communism is a loser and always will be. Our warriors have not defeated it several times in various parts of the world just for it to try to get its head back here. It's like cancer, you need to remove it quickly," he said.
Earlier, Trump had called his opponents "evil" and "communists" in a speech at Mount Rushmore, and stated that communism is "a greater threat than 9/11" to the USA.
Trump's speech began at the scheduled time despite storm warnings in Washington D.C. causing the public to evacuate at a certain point in the event. An extreme heat wave and storms caused 4th of July celebrations in some North American cities to be disrupted.
