Trump publishes new post with image of himself on US passport
US President Donald Trump on Friday published a new image of a special commemorative American passport featuring his own image, featuring a limited edition passport to mark the 250th anniversary of the United States this year.
"The new US passport that says, 'Welcome, but behave yourself!'" Trump posted on the social network Truth Social.
He included a sample passport page displaying an image of him on the Resolute Table, with the original text of the Declaration of Independence in the background and his signature at the bottom. The opposite page features an image of the painting "The Declaration of Independence" by John Trumbull.
The new passport appears to feature a representation of Trump based on the official portrait of the president at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery in Washington, differentiating itself from images released by the State Department earlier this year, which showed a different image of the president.

The White House referred questions to the State Department when asked whether the latest image was the official version of the commemorative passports. CNN has reached out to the State Department for comment.
The new limited edition travel document was first announced in April as part of the country's 250th anniversary celebrations.
It was described as "a limited edition US passport to commemorate the historic occasion of America's 250th birthday", featuring "custom artwork and enhanced images on the front, back and inside covers."
At the time, an official told CNN that the passport "will be the standard model issued by the Washington Passport Agency when available" for those who renew their passports in person there.
"Online or other local options will maintain the existing passport design," the official said.
Today, the inside front cover of U.S. passports displays an image of Percy Moran's painting of Francis Scott Key the morning after the bombing of Fort McHenry, the battle that inspired Key to write what would become the U.S. national anthem. Verses from the hymn are also printed on the inside of the front cover.
