The President of the USA, Donald Trump, made a post this Tuesday (2) about his meeting with the senator and presidential candidate Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ). In one of the photos, his brother, former congressman Eduardo Bolsonaro, also appears.

"It was great to have Flávio Bolsonaro in the Oval Office of the White House - an intelligent young man who loves his country, Brazil very much!", wrote Trump, on Truth Social, his social network.
The message is published on the day that the USA proposed a 25% surcharge on Brazilian products, under the allegation of restrictive practices on American trade. Lula held the Bolsonaro family responsible for the taxation, linking it to Flávio's visit to the White House on the 26th.

"In the three meetings we had, with President Trump, Vice President [J.D.] Vance and Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, I expressly asked: not to tax Brazilian companies. It is a request that I made, expressly, to them", said Flávio Bolsonaro in an interview with Rádio Itatiaia, in Minas Gerais.

Flávio Bolsonaro was received by United States President Donald Trump on Tuesday last week, May 26th. The following day, he also met with Marco Rubio, Secretary of State, and JD Vance, Vice President.
In a press conference after the meeting, Flávio said that he asked Trump for the criminal factions Primeiro Comando Capital (PCC) and Comando Vermelho (CV) to be classified as terrorist organizations.
Flávio did not mention conversations about taxing journalists after the visit.
The senator also said that he promised the Republican to include Brazil in the Shield of the Americas if elected. The coalition, created by the US with Latin American countries, focuses on combating organized crime and combating foreign interference.
"I emphatically asked President Trump to designate the PCC and Red Command as foreign terrorist organizations as soon as possible," he said.
According to Flávio, Trump responded that he will analyze the classification of Brazilian factions as terrorist groups.
The senator also said that he spoke with Trump about tariffs and rare earths.
Also according to Flávio, Trump asked about former president Jair Bolsonaro, an attitude he classified as a "human gesture". The parliamentarian also stated that he had received a "challenge coin" from the American president, a type of commemorative military currency.
According to the senator, the meeting with Rubio lasted around 30 minutes. An image of the meeting with the Secretary of State was shared by Paulo Figueiredo, an ally of the Bolsonaro family, on social media.
In the meeting with J.D. Vance, according to the senator, the vice president raised issues related to freedom of expression in Brazil.
