The President of the United States, Donald Trump, stated that he knows nothing about an alleged interruption in negotiations with Iran and minimized the importance of the news, if it is true, when asked by the American broadcaster NBC News this Monday (1st):
"I think we have been talking too much, to tell you the truth. I think staying silent would be very good."
According to the Iranian news agency Tasnim, Tehran decided to stop exchanging messages with the US after Israel's new attacks on Lebanon, including with evacuation orders and warnings of bombing the capital, Beirut, this Monday.
Although the pause in negotiations for an agreement was not confirmed, earlier, Iran conditioned any truce with the United States on the implementation of an effective ceasefire in Lebanon.
In his weekly press conference, the spokesman for Iranian diplomacy, Esmaeil Baghaei commented on the expansion of Israeli operations in Lebanese territory and said that the end of attacks is essential for peace negotiations:
"We insist that a ceasefire in Lebanon is an essential condition for any agreement aimed at ending the war."
The spokesman also accused Washington of continuing to violate the ceasefire with Tehran and stated that Iran will not hesitate to adopt any measures it deems necessary to defend its national security.
"The United States is also violating the ceasefire, including this morning. Violations of the ceasefire are, in themselves, indicative of misconduct and bad faith on the part of the US and only intensify the existing distrust, which, rightly, must always remain in our minds, in any interaction with the American side", he declared.

On the social network Bagher Ghalibaf also criticized the Trump administration:
