Trump makes demand about Iran's "nuclear dust" amid negotiations

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, made demands this Monday (25) in relation to enriched uranium from Iran, amid progress in negotiations to end the war.

In a post in Truth Social, Trump stated that the product - which he called "nuclear dust" - "will be immediately delivered to the United States for repatriation and destruction" or else destroyed in Iran "or another acceptable location."

This process would be carried out in coordination with the Iranian regime and would have the Atomic Energy Commission, or some equivalent body, as a "witness", according to the post.

Trump told reporters in the White House Oval Office last week that the United States would not budge on the issue of recovering enriched uranium from Iran.

"We'll probably destroy it after we get it, but we won't let them have it," the president explained on Thursday.

The motto that American officials began using this weekend is "no dust, no dollars," referring to the nearly 1,000-pound stockpile of highly enriched uranium that the White House insists must be disposed of before Iran sees any financial benefit from the proposed deal to end the war.
