Trump greets Lula at the G7 and says "good job"; see video

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, greeted President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) during the G7 summit, taking place in Évian-les-Bains, France.

A video obtained by ICL Notícias shows Trump pointing at Lula and heading towards him. They both greet each other and the American leader says: "How are you? Good work."

Then, the Republican slaps the PT member twice on the shoulder and leaves the place. Lula did not comment.

According to the ICL, the brief meeting took place after the first meeting on Wednesday morning (17), in one of the corridors of the hotel hosting the summit.

Lula and Trump had already met and exchanged greetings on Tuesday night (16), during a social event at the G7 summit, according to findings from Américo Martins, senior International analyst at CNN Brasil.

These were the first personal meetings between the two since the United States government classified the Red Command and the PCC as terrorist organizations and threatened Brazil with new tariffs.

In any case, there will be no meeting between the presidents. The Brazilian government confirmed that neither side requested a formal meeting.
