Trio from Corinthians base is integrated into the professional squad during the interseason at CT Joaquim Grava

Midfielder Luiz Gustavo Bahia (2006), midfielder Gui Amorim (2008) and striker Luiz Fernando 'Luizinho (2007), who are part of the Corinthians U20 team, were integrated into the professional squad's interseason period, led by coach Fernando Diniz, at CT Dr. Joaquim Grava. The trio performed with the main team after the 1 x 0 defeat to Juventude, away from home, in the last round of the first phase of the Brazilian Championship in the category. Even with the defeat, Timãozinho qualified for the quarter-finals of the national competition - eighth place with 29 points - and will face Palmeiras. The Derbys should take place on the 8th and 15th of June - base dates stipulated by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF). Alviverde had the best campaign in the initial stage, scoring 44 points.

According to the portal's report, the three players must remain training with the main squad throughout the interseason to prepare for the rest of the season, in which Corinthians will have the second round of the Brasileirão, in addition to the round of 16 of the Copa do Brasil and Conmebol Libertadores, which will take place in August against Internacional and Rosário Central, from Argentina, respectively.
Luiz Gustavo Bahia
Luiz Gustavo Bahia is considered one of the leaders of the current U20 team and returned to the base due to the fact that he was not used by the technical committee of Dorival Júnior, fired in April, during the second half of 2025 and the beginning of 2026. In total, he has played four games for Timão's professional team (two as a starter), totaling two draws and two defeats. His debut for the main team came in the 2-2 draw against Portuguesa, at the Mercado Livre Arena Pacaembu, in the Paulista qualifying phase. The team, at that time, was led by Argentinean Ramón Díaz.
At Parque São Jorge since he was 10 years old, he has scored 25 goals in 129 matches for the Under-17s and 20 for Corinthians, being part of the achievements of the Campeonato Paulista Under-17 in 2023 and the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior in 2024. His contract ends in September 2027. According to Meu Timão, his international termination fine is 50 million euros (R$297 million), while the national one is R$65 million. Currently, the professional cast has the following options for the sector: Raniele, Allan, Alex Santana, Charles, Matheus Pereira, André Luiz, André Carrillo and Breno Bidon.
Gui Amorim
At 18 years of age, Gui Amorim is seen as one of the main promises of Corinthians' youth categories. The young man had been training more frequently among professionals since the beginning of the season and with the Under-20s in 2026, he had three goals and four assists in 14 matches. Last year, he was the Under-17's main player, scoring 20 goals and 15 assists in 43 games.
In April, the midfielder suffered a knee injury and was sidelined until the final stretch of May. Last year, after the Kauê Furquim case, which saw the national termination fine paid by Grupo City to work in Bahia, Timão promoted a salary increase in addition to the increase in fines in its contract. He recently extended his contract with Alvinegro until December 2028, with the possibility of extension until 2030.
According to Meu Timão, your national termination fine is R$140 million and for abroad it is 100 million euros (more than R$594 million). The professional cast has the following alternatives for this sector: Dieguinho, Jesse Lingard, Zakaria Labyad and Rodrigo Garro.
Luiz Fernando 'Luizinho'
Under-20's top scorer this season with 12 goals in 26 games, the 18-year-old striker arrived at Corinthians at the age of 12, after spending time at CATS, from Taboão da Serra, and RB Brasil, passing through all categories of Alvinegro. In the Under-17s, for example, he scored 17 goals in 49 matches - 31 wins, six draws and 12 defeats.
In the year 2024, when he was just 16 years old, he made his debut for the Under-20s, which at the time was facing training problems in the squad and needed to resort to athletes from the minor categories. That same year, he became part of the professional squad's training with Ramón Díaz and was involved in matches against Vitória (F - 2 x 1) and Cruzeiro (C - 2 x 1) in that year's Brasileirão.
In 94 U20 games - 42 wins, 25 draws and 27 defeats - 26 goals were scored. In 2025, he was also Filhos do Terrão's top scorer with 10 goals in 39 games. With categories of dribbling and speed, Luizinho could become an option for Fernando Diniz as a speed athlete on the sides of the field. In the current cast, only Kaio César, aged 22, has this characteristic.
In turn, in March 2026, he began attending training for the first team, even when the team was led by Dorival Júnior, who would leave his position a few weeks later. He and Gui Amorim have not yet made their professional debut. His contract with Alvinegro ends in December 2027.
Corinthians professional squad schedule
Corinthians will return to the official field on July 23rd, Thursday, at 7:30 pm (Brasília time), to face Remo, at the Neo Química Arena, for the 19th round of the 2026 Brazilian Championship. Currently, Timão is in tenth place with 24 points - six wins, six draws and six defeats - 18 goals scored and 19 conceded. Before that, Alvinegro will play a friendly against FC Cascavel, on July 12th, at 4pm, in Paraná.
