Toyota will open the second factory in Sorocaba, in São Paulo, to operate from the beginning of November this year. The new unit is part of Toyota's R$11 billion investment cycle until 2030.

The new unit has the production of the Corolla Sedan, which was transferred from Indaiatuba to the location. The process started in 2024.

"It is a decisive step to strengthen our operation, create jobs and prepare the company for the future of mobility", says the president of Toyota do Brasil, Evandro Maggio.

With the expansion of the factory, 2,000 new jobs were also added, which also stimulates regional development.

Today, the Sorocaba factory is responsible for producing models such as the Corolla Cross and Yaris Cross - and also the Corolla Sedan.

In Sorocaba, Toyota also recently opened a technical center for assembling batteries for hybrid passenger vehicles.
