Ton of oranges and 300kg of fish: see items from Norway for the World Cup
The Norwegian team brought a menu with more specific foods for the 2026 World Cup to maintain the athletes' eating routine.
According to Norwegian portal VG, the list of items includes 300 kg of red fish, 116 kg of brown cheese and 6,000 oranges to produce around 15 liters of fresh juice per day.
The diet was designed by three Norwegian chefs, Christian Karlsson, Eirik Tufte and Aron Espeland, for more than 60 people, four times a day, for at least the month of June - and perhaps even July - if Norway advances in the competition.
"But we try to stay calm and not order too much at once, preferring to order little by little. It's a little difficult to say exactly how much we will have, but it will be at least 300 kilos of red fish," Tufte told the portal.
The European team will be based in North Carolina throughout the group stage. The chefs are already prepared for temperatures above 35ºC, which according to them, will have a big impact on what they serve to the athletes.
Norway begins its campaign in the World Cup against Iraq, on June 16th, at 7pm. The match valid for Group I, which also includes France and Senegal, will be held in Boston.
