Tom Morello joins Serj Tankian and Roman Morello in protest song against ICE

Tom Morello has released "Adjourn It", a new track from his next solo album. The song features Serj Tankian, lead singer of System Of A Down, and Roman Morello, the guitarist's 15-year-old son.

The song brings a message of resistance against the advance of fascism and against United States immigration policies. Produced by Zakk Cervini, known for his work with Bring Me The Horizon, Yungblud and Aerosmith, the track combines heavy riffs from Tom and Roman with the striking vocals of Serj Tankian.

According to Morello, "Adjourn It" was inspired by the persecution of immigrants and recent protests against ICE, the agency responsible for immigration in the United States.

The music video uses scenes from the 1954 film "Salt of the Earth". is based on a true story about Mexican-American miners who faced labor exploitation and racism. The production was also notable for having been made by professionals blacklisted by Hollywood for their political positions.

Morello stated that, at this historical moment, every form of art is an act of resistance. Serj Tankian also commented on the release and classified the song as an anthem of protest against ICE's actions in the United States.
