Titãs, Sidney Magal, Wanessa and Mumuzinho lead the Virada in the North Zone
The North Zone of São Paulo promises to gather large crowds this weekend with multicultural and completely free programming.
Between the 23rd and 24th of May, the region hosts renowned names in Brazilian music such as Titãs, Mumuzinho, Wanessa Camargo and Sidney Magal. The shows are part of the 21st edition of Virada Cultural, promoted by São Paulo City Hall, which this year focuses on the decentralization of stages throughout the capital.
The highlights in the northern region are divided into two large strategic hubs: the stage set up near the Parada Inglesa metro station and the Freguesia do Ó/Brasilândia stage.
The structures were specifically designed to accommodate large masses around festive and popular rhythms, moving between samba, pop, forró and national rock.
Pop and samba rock the Parada Inglesa
At the Parada Inglesa hub, the public will be able to follow a mix of rhythms that promises to please different generations.
Saturday's program will feature singer Ana Cañas and traditional forró from the group Bicho de Pé, making room for Wanessa Camargo's pop performance on the same night. Sunday afternoon will be under the command of samba and pagode, with the main highlight being the show by singer Mumuzinho.
Titãs, Demônios da Garoa and Magal in Freguesia do Ó / Brasilândia
For those looking for rock energy, the Freguesia do Ó/Brasilândia stage will be the main destination on Saturday night, with the performance of the band Titãs, who brings their historic classics to the North Zone.
On Sunday, the atmosphere takes on more traditional and irreverent tones: the public will be able to enjoy the São Paulo samba by Demônios da Garoa and, shortly afterwards, the festive closing with singer Sidney Magal, who gives his second performance at the event.
