"Titanic" and "La La Land" will have special cinema screenings in June
The Oscar-winning feature films, "La La Land" and "Titanic", will be shown in special cinema sessions in São Paulo, on June 1st. The initiative is part of the UCI Day program, which offers tickets for R$12 for 2D, 3D, Imax and Xplus rooms and R$20 for luxury VIP and 4DX rooms.
Unreleased in Brazil, "Titanic" will be shown in a version with 48 frames per second. The technology allows the image to be displayed with greater definition and more fluid movements. In 1998, the feature film, directed by James Cameron and starring Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio, won 11 Oscar statuettes, out of 14 nominations it received in the edition.
"La La Land" completes ten years since its release, considered one of Hollywood's greatest box office successes in the recent era. The film directed by Damien Chazelle also received 14 Oscar nominations and won in the categories of best direction, actress, photography, art direction, soundtrack and original song for "City of Stars".
The UCI campaign features themed tickets for the two films, as well as promotions on popcorn and soda combos. Tickets are on sale on the company's website. The event's promotions also extend to all titles on display, including "The Mandalorian and Grogu", "The Devil Wears Prada 2", "Michael" and "Mortal Kombat 2".
