Three cars to buy with the value of the new BYD Sealion 7
BYD launched a new electric model for the Brazilian market called the Sealion 7. The 100% electric SUV is more than 4.80 meters long and has sports-like performance. With a price of R$ 339,990, the CNN Brasil report separated some car options to buy with this price.
The BYD Sealion 7 has 531 horsepower, 70.3 kgfm of torque and can travel 360 km on a full charge. With this mechanic, the SUV reaches 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and the top speed is 215 km/h.
With this value of the SUV, a similar option is the Volvo EC40. The model from the Swedish brand starts at R$334,950. The configuration loses in power, which has 238 hp and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds.
The advantage is due to autonomy. According to Inmetro, the Volvo EC40 can travel 385 km on a full charge, surpassing the BYD Sealion 7. In terms of size, however, the advantage goes to the Chinese model.

Another Chinese SUV that is positioned on the same level as the Sealion 7 is the GAC Hyptec HT. Priced at R$314,990, the model offers more electric autonomy.
In the entry-level Elite version, there is 431 km of electric range on a single charge. GAC's SUV is also superior in some dimensions. It is 4.93 meters long (+10 cm), 1.92 meters wide and 2.93 meters in distance between the axles. The trunk is 670 liters - the BYD has 500 L.
GAC Hyptec HT 2027 - Disclosure
With R$10,000 more in your pocket, another alternative is the Chevrolet Equinox EV. The electric SUV has 304 horsepower (less than the Sealion 7), but has a big advantage in terms of electric range.
According to data from Inmetro, the Equinox EV can travel 443 km on a single full battery charge.
With 443 kilometers of autonomy, the recharge speed is up to 22 kW (AC) and 150 kW (DC). In just 10 minutes in the latter, the driver can add 130 km of autonomy.
In terms of size, the Equinox is very similar to the Sealion 7. It is 4,840 mm long, 1,954 mm wide, 1.64 meters high and weighs 2,336 kg. The wheelbase is 2.95 meters.
