The album "Sound of Silver", released in 2007, is today considered one of LCD Soundsystem's most important works. What many fans don't know is that James Murphy spent almost two years facing doubts, pressure and creative difficulties to complete the album. After the success of the band's debut album, Murphy felt a responsibility to prove that the project wasn't just a fad. This pressure ended up turning the recording process into an exhausting experience. During this period, the musician revised songs countless times, discarded entire ideas and even questioned whether he would be able to deliver a work that lived up to expectations. The effort, however, was worth it. The album featured songs such as "All My Friends", "Someone Great", "North American Scum" and "Get Innocuous!", tracks that became essential in the group's discography. "All My Friends", in particular, has come to be considered one of the best songs of the 2000s, thanks to its combination of danceable energy and emotional reflection on friendship, aging and the passage of time. Years later, Murphy acknowledged that those two years were extremely difficult, but also fundamental in transforming "Sound of Silver" into one of the most celebrated albums in modern alternative music.
