"The Pitt" will bring a new destiny for the protagonist; see who
The third season of "The Pitt" will bring a big change to one of its protagonists in the next season of the series, which should reach the public early next year.
In an interview with Bustle this week, actress Shabana Azeez, who plays intern Victoria Javadi, confirmed that her character will take a different direction in the season. "I can say that I'm not in the emergency room this season. I already did my internship there, so I'm doing my internship in psychiatry," he revealed to the outlet. "It's a very different vibe for me. And I'm scared and nervous. But it's an honor to be able to showcase this part of medicine."
Through the actress' response, she confirms that the character will continue in the series, but showing a different approach, now in the emergency room psychiatry internship. As in any teaching hospital, it is expected that interns will decide to continue or remain as residents while learning the trade. At the end of the 2nd season, the character was considering the possibility of leaving medicine for law, due to the burden of being in emergency care.
In a conversation with Whitaker (Gerran Howell), she reflects on the importance of mental health, both for patients and the professionals who receive them, and the boy suggests that perhaps she should dedicate herself to the segment. With the idea in mind, she asks veteran Dr. Robby (Noah Wyle) what he thinks of the possibility, and receives the advice: "I think you can do anything you put your mind to." It's possible that the young woman will follow the advice and show a new facet in the 3rd year of the series.
"The Pitt" drew attention when it confirmed the departure of Supriya Ganesh, who played the character Dr. Samira Mohan in the first seasons. The departure officially took place strictly through the narrative, since a teaching hospital always has a turnover of interns and residents in the space, which was shown with the entry of new characters throughout the plot. "It's an inevitable thing that's going to happen every season of this show, because as writers, we have a hard time finding an ideal time frame to realistically keep most of the cast together," Noah Wyle said in an interview with Variety.
As far as we know, the next season will have a time jump of four months since the end of the 2nd year shift, which took place on a Labor Day holiday. Now, the series is set in early November, before the holiday festivities, bringing the emergencies of cold weather.
