THE ONLY PINK FLOYD SONG FROM 1971 WITH NICK MASON ON VOCALS

Although Roger Waters and David Gilmour are usually associated with Pink Floyd's vocals, there is a curious exception in the band's discography. In 1971, drummer Nick Mason took over the microphones on a song that remains a rarity in the group's career. The track is "One of These Days", present on the album "Meddle". Although the song is predominantly instrumental, it includes a striking vocal phrase: "One of these days I'm going to cut you into little pieces". The voice used in the recording belongs to Nick Mason. To create the dark and ominous effect desired by the band, the recording was sped up and processed in the studio. The result became one of music's most memorable moments and an oft-cited curiosity among Pink Floyd fans.
