The majority will is to vote PEC 6×1 as it came from the Chamber, says Teresa to CNN

The leader of the government in the Senate, Teresa Leitão (PT-PE), stated this Thursday (2), to CNN Brasil, that there is a "majority will" and "strategic interest" in voting on the proposal on the end of the 6×1 scale as it came from the Chamber of Deputies. The text is under analysis in the Senate.

"Regarding the content, what I felt from the union centrals in the meeting I participated in together with Paulo Paim and Senator [Davi] Alcolumbre is that the strategic interest and majority will is for the PEC to be approved in the way it was approved in the Chamber", he said.

On Wednesday (1st), Teresa participated in a meeting about the proposal with the president of the Senate, Davi Alcolumbre (União-AP), senator Paulo Paim (PT-RS) and representatives of trade unions. At the meeting, however, a calendar for analysis of the PEC (Proposed Amendment to the Constitution) has not yet been defined.

According to the senator, the agenda still follows a "debate script". She also defended that the issue should not be treated with "electoral connotations".
