The R$61 million financed by Daniel Vorcaro to make "Dark Horse", a biopic of Jair Bolsonaro, is triple the amount raised at the American box office by the last film directed by actor Jim Caviezel and director Cyrus Nowrasteh.
Released in September 2020 in the United States, "International Kidnapping" raised just over R$20 million (US$4 million) in the country, according to the Box Office Mojo website. In the work written and directed by Nowrasteh, Caviezel plays a man kidnapped after traveling to Egypt.

Report published by the website Intercept Brasil this Wednesday (13) shows that the senator and pre-candidate for the Presidency of the Republic, Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ), was pushing for payments.
Vorcaro, owner of Banco Master, is arrested in Brasília, accused of leading a billion-dollar financial fraud scheme that could reach R$12 billion, according to PF.

The amount raised by "International Kidnapping" can be considered low, but it also depends on the production budget, which was not disclosed.
"Sound of Liberty" (2023), Caviezel's latest hit, raised more than R$1.2 billion (US$250 million) around the world. "Sarah's Treasure" (2025), the director's most recent film, raised R$58 million (US$11.6 million).
The duo's other partnership raised even less. "The Stoning of Soraya M." (2008) made less than R$6 million around the world (US$1.1 million).

Banker Daniel Vorcaro helped finance a film about Jair Bolsonaro - and the negotiations involved direct contacts with the former president's eldest son, the senator and pre-candidate for the Presidency of the Republic Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ), which was pushing for payments.
The information was revealed by Intercept Brasil, which had access to messages exchanged between the two and an audio sent by Flávio to the banker in September 2025.
TV Globo confirmed with investigators and people with access to the information the content of the report and the existence of the audio.
According to Intercept, Vorcaro even paid R$61 million for the production of the film "Dark Horse" between February and May 2025. The money, according to the website, was transferred to a fund in the United States belonging to an ally of another of the former president's sons, former deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro.
The senator was questioned on Wednesday afternoon by reporters about the issue upon leaving the Federal Supreme Court (STF), but only left the interview saying it was "private money".
Later, the politician released a video confirming the request for money from Vorcaro, but denying irregularities. He also stated that he did not have "spurious relations" with the banker and defended the holding of a CPI on Master.
