"The Fantastic Jaspion": remember the history and success in Brazil

Many fans mourned the death of Hikaru Kurosaki, star of "The Fantastic Jaspion", at the age of 64, this Thursday (2). The series starring the artist was a success in Brazil, ensuring airing on several open TV channels and also on streaming.

Its first broadcast took place in 1988, on the now extinct Rede Manchete, together with the series "Esquadrão Relâmpago Changeman", on "Clube da Criança", an attraction led by presenter Angélica.

The two Japanese attractions are of the tokusatsu type, offering adventure, action and lots of special effects, something that became a rage in Eastern culture at the time.

Very popular, "Jaspion" and "Changeman" inspired the creation of another great series, "Power Rangers", in the United States.

The three productions gained prominence on Brazilian television on several channels. "Jaspion", for example, has already been shown on Record and also on CNT Gazeta, in addition to TV Brasil. More recently, in 2020, it was shown on Band.

Death of Hikaru Kurosaki
Hikaru Kurosaki's death was announced by a friend, Masaki Sekiguchi, through social media.

"We announce, with regret, the passing of Mr. Kurosaki, from the operator Mother Earth, member of the Motobu City Diving Association. As Mr. Kurosaki lived alone, we send this statement to inform companies and partners in the sector", wrote Sekiguchi.

A popular actor and stuntman in Japan, he gained worldwide recognition for his work on "The Fantastic Jaspion." The production tells the story of an orphan boy raised by the prophet Edin who is chosen to fight against the evil Satan Goss, who promises to dominate all the planets in the galaxy.
