After Roy Orbison's death, George Harrison used *Traveling Wilburys Vol. 3* (1990/1991) to keep the supergroup's friendship alive. "My goal was to preserve our friendship," he revealed. The album brought together Harrison, Bob Dylan, Jeff Lynne and Tom Petty in a relaxed atmosphere, even without Orbison. Harrison struggled to keep the spirit light and the band together.
