Seoul was voted the best city in the world to explore on foot in 2026. The survey, carried out by Time Out magazine, interviewed 24 thousand residents of urban areas. The ranking is based on the percentage of people who rated the place where they live as "good" or "amazing" for walking.

With a walkability index of 93%, the capital of South Korea stood out for its pedestrian-friendly infrastructure and safe walking both during the day and at night.

Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland, occupies second place by a difference of just 0.08 percentage points. Despite the cobblestone streets and steep climbs, the city is considered compact, with many attractions close to each other.
