Defender Thaís Regina reached, last Sunday (7), the six-month mark without playing an official match for Corinthians. The defender continues to recover from a fractured fibula in her left ankle, an injury suffered during the 2026 pre-season and which ruled her out of the entire first part of the season.

The expectation is that the athlete will be available to the technical committee after the break for the World Cup. In recent weeks, Thaís Regina has advanced in her recovery schedule and returned to participating in activities with the rest of the squad on the field, still with monitoring and load control carried out by the club's medical department.

The player herself celebrated the progress of the recovery process on social media. After returning to training with the group, the defender published a message celebrating the moment.

Thaís Regina's last official match took place on December 7, 2025, when Corinthians was defeated by Palmeiras 5 x 1, in the first game of the Campeonato Paulista Feminino final. Since then, the defender has not returned to the field.

Signed by Corinthians for the 2025 season, the defender is living her second year at Parque São Jorge. In her debut season, she became an important part of the black and white defensive system and participated in the campaigns that resulted in the Brazilian Women's Championship and Women's Libertadores titles.

Throughout 2025, Thaís Regina played 30 matches for Corinthians, starting 26 of them. In addition to his defensive solidity, he also contributed offensively, with four goals scored and two assists distributed. During the period, he directly participated in six of the team's goals.

The defender's numbers for the club include 20 wins, six draws and just four defeats, a performance that represents a success of more than 73% of the points played when she was on the field.

In addition to Thaís Regina, another athlete who also made progress in her recovery recently was midfielder Juliana Passari. The player, who has been treating a muscle injury in her right thigh since April, returned to working with the squad in controlled activities.

With no official commitments during the World Cup, Corinthians will use the period to physically recover the athletes and prepare for the rest of the season. The tendency is for the break to be essential so that players in recovery can return to the options of coach Emily Lima.

Brabas are scheduled to return to the pitch in the second half of July. The next match should be against Ferroviária, in Fazendinha, for the fourth round of the Campeonato Paulista Feminino. The São Paulo Football Federation (FPF) will still officially confirm the date and time of the match.
