Brazilian celebrities invaded the profile of Vozinha, Cape Verde's goalkeeper, after the 0-0 draw with Spain in a World Cup match this Monday (12).
The player's performance earned him more than a million followers on social media. Before the match, the athlete had around 50 thousand followers.
After the final whistle, he had already accumulated more than 1.5 million - until the closing of this report he had registered 1.9 million followers.

The nickname
Josimar Dias became Vozinha because of the "bullying" he suffered as a child:
He didn't grow up with his parents (his father was in military service and his mother worked a lot). He was raised entirely by his grandparents on the island of São Vicente, in Cape Verde.
When he was a child, he played football in the street with older boys. Josimar was very competitive, rebellious and hated losing, but he ended up "taking a lot of hits" from the bigger kids.
Whenever he got beaten up in the game and couldn't get back at him, he went home sullen, with a frown on his face. The other kids started making fun of him, saying he was going to cry and "complain with his little voice." The nickname stuck forever.
When he went to play in Angola, at the beginning of his professional career, there was already another goalkeeper called Josimar in the squad. In order not to use "Josimar II", the athlete decided to resurrect his childhood nickname, "Vozinha", which ended up becoming his trademark.
And one more curiosity: the goalkeeper's given name was a tribute to former full-back Josimar, who played for Botafogo between 1981 and 1989 and who shone for the Brazilian team in the 1986 World Cup.
