TBG and UTE Paulínia Verde sign an agreement to transport natural gas
Transportadora Brasileira Gasoduto Bolivia-Brasil (TBG) and the Thermoelectric Plant (UTE) Paulínia Verde signed a Term of Commitment for Contracting Firm Transport of Natural Gas, a stage foreseen in the notice of the Capacity Reserve Auction in the form of Power (LRCAP 2026).
The document formalizes the commitment between the companies to guarantee the supply of natural gas to the plant, scheduled to begin on August 1, 2026, the date defined as the milestone for the availability of the power contracted in the event.
According to TBG, the signing represents an advance in compliance with the regulatory requirements of the auction and brings greater predictability regarding the availability of the transport infrastructure necessary for the operation of the project. As for UTE Paulínia Verde, formalization is identified as a relevant step to meet the requirements of LRCAP 2026 and maintain the schedule for starting commercial operations.
The company also highlighted that the initiative also reinforces integration between the natural gas and electricity sectors.
