Taylor Swift's wedding brings together celebrities: see the best looks
The wedding of the year took place last Friday (3) and Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce exchanged rings at Madison Square Garden, in New York. The union of one of the biggest names in music and the NFL star took hundreds of celebrities to Manhattan.
Despite the couple's strictness in keeping the ceremony as secret as possible, many celebrities were seen around the arena, prepared for the big event. Among them, Jason Sudeikis, Hugh Grant and his wife, Anna Elisabet, author Jenny Han and Ethan Hawke were caught by photographers on the fence surrounding Madison Square Garden to prevent the public from approaching.
One of Taylor's closest friends showed the long dress with nude stones chosen for the occasion on her networks. She also showed off her husband's look, Benny Blanco - the voice of "Blank Space" was one of the bridesmaids at the actress' wedding.
Around the city, the singer's childhood friend, Abigail Anderson, was seen leaving a hotel in the city heading to the wedding, wearing a long burgundy dress with an embroidered bodice by Sau Lee. Another personal friend of the couple, Bradley Cooper, was spotted walking in a tuxedo through Manhattan to the car, where he met his girlfriend, Gigi Hadid. The model showed off her look for the ceremony on her social media, in which she left her wavy blonde strands loose to match a silhouette-defining, long dress with pink sparkles.
On social media, Jennifer Lopez showed that she chose a black mule dress with volume at the hem for the occasion, which was made of leather. Actors Paul Rudd and Adam Scott posed with their wives and showed off their look for the occasion. The couple also invited country music celebrities, who attended the event in droves, such as Miranda Lambert, Kelsea Ballerini and Maren Morris.
The ceremony would have been attended by around a thousand guests and the speech was given by comedian Adam Sandler. When they got married, Madison Square Garden changed its screens with a warning to the public: "Just+t Married", something like "Taylor and Travis just got married".
An official statement added that the bride and groom chose not to have a group of groomsmen and bridesmaids and chose their brothers, Austin Swift and Jason Kelce, to be the 'groomsmen'.
For the celebration, the bride and groom wore exclusive Christian Dior Haute Couture creations, designed especially for the couple by Jonathan Anderson. According to the official note, this was the first time that the brand's new creative director signed a tailor-made haute couture piece for a celebrity. Taylor completed her look with custom Christian Louboutin shoes and Cartier jewelry. There are no official photos of the bride and groom yet.
