Taylor Swift reveals why she invited a producer to sing in "Toy Story 5"

Last month, singer Taylor Swift, 36, moved the internet by announcing a special composition for the fifth film in the "Toy Story" franchise. Amid the campaign for the launch of the animation, the North American explained why she invited her longtime partner, Jack Antonoff, 42, to produce the project.

In a previously released excerpt from Taylor's interview with the program "Good Morning America", the artist explained her creative process for the song, recorded on the same day she watched an initial version of the film.

"I called Jack Antonoff, who's one of my best friends, and I know he's not only as big a Randy Newman fan as I am, but he's also a 'Toy Story' fan. We talk about animation all the time and how it really shaped our childhood," she said, referencing the composer of the first film's beloved soundtrack, "You've Got a Friend in Me."

From the moment she started promoting the project, Swift reinforced on several occasions that she always liked animation and that it was one of her "dreams to write for these characters".

"I called him and just quickly said, 'I saw the new 'Toy Story'. I need to tell you everything about the movie, but we need to write this song.'

During one of the first previews of "Toy Story 5", in Los Angeles, USA, Taylor surprised the audience by appearing in the cinema and performing "I Knew It, I Knew You" for the audience. The animation, highly anticipated by fans, arrived in Brazilian cinemas this Thursday (18).
