Taylor Swift has an unusual relationship with her wedding date; understand
Taylor Swift and the Fourth of July have such a strong history in common that some fans have dubbed their star-studded parties the national holiday "Taymerica."
Previous guests include some of her famous best friends, such as Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid, Cara Delevingne and sisters Este, Danielle and Alana Haim, from the band of the same name.
But probably the most notable celebration was in 2023, when Swift posted a series of photos with the caption: "Happy belated Independence Day from your independent girls next door. See you tonight, Kansas City."
Little did she imagine that in the audience at her second show at Arrowhead Stadium, shortly after the post referencing being single, would be Travis Kelce, who attended the show with a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it, which he hoped to give to the pop star.
At the time, that didn't work out, but everything else certainly did. With a weekend of wedding celebrations underway, the Fourth of July looks to be the holiday that continues to bring joy to Swift.
Shortly after the show, Kelce said on her podcast "New Heights" that she tried to give Taylor Swift a friendship bracelet during her show in Kansas City, but was denied access to the singer at the time. The statement reached the singer, who began to be seen at the athlete's games in September of that year.
