Tarcísio says he does not see space for a third way and reinforces support for Flávio

The governor of São Paulo Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans) reiterated this Monday (1) his support for the pre-candidacy of Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) for the Presidency of the Republic. According to the Republican, today there is still no room for a "third way".

"I understand that there is also little space for a third way, little space for other candidacies", he said in an interview with the Pânico program, on Jovem Pan.

"It's very polarized, so there's no space for these regional leaders to emerge as national leaders," he added.

According to the governor, this year's election will be contested mainly by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) and Flávio - chosen by former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) to replace him in the election.

"The dispute will be between Lula and Flávio, there is no doubt about that. And here we are going to do our work to help Flávio defeat the PT and for us to have a perspective and a project for Brazil."

Afterwards, Tarcísio also reinforced his support for Bolsonaro: "I have always spoken of my gratitude to President Bolsonaro who opened these doors, he was the person who put me in this scenario, gave me that opportunity to be a minister."

"Back then I said: My candidate will be Bolsonaro, or whoever Bolsonaro nominates and Bolsonaro nominated Flávio, so my candidate is Flávio, that's it, that's a done deal."
