On the afternoon of this Thursday (11), left-back Tamires, from Corinthians, debuted as a commentator on the Radar da Copa program, on Rede Globo, which will deal with the agenda of the 2026 World Cup, which takes place between June 11 and July 19, in the United States, Mexico and Canada. Alongside journalist Tadeu Schmidt and comedian Fábio Porchat, he made his first appearance after the match between Mexico and South Africa, which marked the opening of the tournament and ended in a 2-0 triumph for the Mexicans at the Azteca Stadium.

Previously, Corinthians' number 37 had already played in the same role, for the same broadcaster in the 2022 World Cup, held in Qatar. In an interview with Rádio Coringão in recent weeks, the 'Mãe da Fiel' even spoke about her post-career planning and the desire to be closer to her family.

"I've thought about a lot of things in my head over the years. I really like the pitch, I really like analyzing football, I really like talking about football, but the issue of being a coach and being here every day is the issue of routine. That bothers me a little, because I'm going to have the same routine as an athlete as a coaching staff, you know? I want, like, to have more time for my family, to have a little more freedom to live, like that. And I don't see that happening so much with coaches, it's a lot of pressure. And Then I also took a sports management course, but I said: 'man, it's just crisis, crisis, crisis to manage' so I don't know if I want to too", he began.

She added: So I'm going to be a commentator, a presenter. Let's see, it's going to be a very big challenge for me, because I'm also very happy with this opportunity. I think it's not easy for athletes who are still active to have opportunities like this. So this really touched me in a very, very grateful way that I was having this opportunity. It will be challenging. I'm nervous, but it's going to be about football, so that makes me a little more comfortable. And we'll see what direction I'm going to take in the future, right?, he said.

Since mid-2019 at Corinthians, after playing football abroad, he has scored 37 goals and 55 assists in 225 games for Timão (187 as a starter), with 173 wins, 34 draws and 18 defeats - 81.39% success rate. In addition, he won 17 titles between Campeonato Brasileiro, Paulistão, Libertadores, Supercopa and Copa Paulista.

Like the men's team, the Corinthians women's team is also on vacation - June 10th to 24th. Emily Lima's men will return to the pitch on July 17th, against Ferroviária, at home, in the fourth round of the classification phase of the Campeonato Paulista Feminino. Furthermore, until the end of the year, Alvinegro will also compete in: Brasileirão, Copa do Brasil and Conmebol Libertadores.
