On Monday morning (25), Tadeu Schmidt mourned the death of his mother at the age of 92. "Thanks for everything, Mom."
"I have a lot of difficulty accepting that I will never see you again... What consoles me is thinking that you lived 92 years with so many beautiful moments, that you raised three fulfilled and happy children, that you saw grandchildren and great-grandchildren... and that you left a very strong memory in everyone who lived with you. Rest in peace, Dona Janira", wrote the presenter.

In the text posted on social media, Tadeu did not mention the cause or date of his mother's death.
Janira's death comes just over a month after that of Tadeu's brother, the greatest idol of Brazilian basketball, Oscar Schmidt. The former athlete died at the age of 68, in Santana de Parnaíba, in Greater São Paulo, after falling ill at his home.
