Sydney Sweeney reveals why she agreed to film nude scenes in "Euphoria"

Actress Sydney Sweeney, 28, said she agreed to film several nude scenes in the final season of "Euphoria" because she believed it was the best way to do justice to her character, Cassie Howard.

In the plot, the young woman creates an account on the adult content platform OnlyFans and starts selling material to her followers.

In an interview with Vanity Fair magazine, the beloved star of the moment explained that she previously spoke about the character's direction with the creator of the HBO drama, Sam Levinson, before recording began.

"He sent me all the texts and all of Cassie's scenes were already there, including the OnlyFans scenes. Then he called me and we talked about all that. He asked me how I felt about it, and I said, 'Look, I'm playing a character.' To play her the way she needs to be played, I needed to bring Sam's vision to life and show Cassie in the most vulnerable and insane way possible," she revealed.

The third season of "Euphoria" generated controversy on social media due to the number of sexual scenes. Still, Sydney said she understands Sam's decision to take the character in that direction.

"From the beginning, you can tell that Cassie has a need to be loved. She has a need to be validated by other people. She doesn't know how to love herself unless someone loves her first. So I understand how Sam got her to the point she got to in season three. I think she was more excited about the idea of all these people loving her, knowing who she is, and making her feel like her world wasn't so small."
