Sweden: Isak has already shone in the Netherlands and is now one of the most expensive in the world
Forward Alexander Isak is one of Sweden's weapons for this Saturday's duel (20) against the Netherlands, a country where he has already shown his goalscoring talent.
Currently, the 26-year-old Swede is the star of giant Liverpool's offensive sector. His transfer to the Premier League, which took place in 2025, is considered the biggest in English football and Top 3 in world football. The values - unofficial - reach R$ 1 billion.
But to reach the powerful Premier League, Isak needed to prove his worth in lesser teams.
A mark that not even Ronaldo could achieve
At the beginning of his career, the Swedish star played in the Eredivisie, the elite division in the Netherlands. And even defending the modest Willem II, he shined and rocked the networks of the country's giants.
Alexander Isak arrived at Willem II in January 2019 on loan from Borussia Dortmund. In the Tilburg team, he formed a respectable attacking duo with the Greek Vangelis Pavlidis, currently Benfica's top scorer.

In just five months, he scored an incredible 14 goals and six assists in 18 games. Isak also managed a streak of 12 goals in eight straight matches. Big names that played in Dutch football, such as Ibrahimovic, Luis Suárez, Ronaldo and Romário, did not achieve the feat of the then young player.
Even with the idolatry achieved in such a short time, Isak did not continue in Willem II. He returned to Dortmund, but was sold in the 2019-20 window to Real Sociedad, from Spain.
With Isak probably on the field, Sweden and the Netherlands duel from 2pm (Brasília time) at NRG Stadium, in Houston. The match is valid for Group F of the 2026 World Cup.
