Suspects rob pharmacy and take cargo worth R$12,000 in the East zone of SP
A man was arrested and a teenager was arrested in the early hours of Saturday (6) after robbing a pharmacy in the east zone of the city of São Paulo. According to the Military Police, it is estimated that the value of the stolen medicine load amounts to more than R$12,000.
Military police officers from the 21st Metropolitan Military Police Battalion were patrolling when they noticed a motorcycle occupied by two individuals. When they tried to approach the suspects, the two fled on the motorcycle, giving rise to a chase.
During the search, the agents again located the motorcycle going the wrong way along Lessing Street. The suspects tried to escape again, but fell and were detained by teams.
The arrested man confessed to participating in a robbery against the pharmacy moments before, on Avenida Sapopemba. According to him, the motorcycle they were riding was also the result of the robbery.
R$308 in cash, a weapon, the motorcycle used and a load of medication valued at approximately R$12,836 were seized.
Among the recovered products were insulin pens and vials, high-cost medications and other items used in ongoing treatments.
The incident was presented at the 42nd Police District, where the arrest of the criminal and the apprehension of the teenager were recorded for the crimes of robbery, receiving, illegal possession of a firearm and corruption of minors. Those involved remained at the disposal of Justice.
