Suspects of attack on Rota lieutenant arrested in São Paulo

Those suspected of involvement in the attempted execution of the Rota lieutenant (Rondas Ostensivas Tobias de Aguiar) and Eloá Pimentel's brother, Ronickson Pimentel dos Santos, were arrested this Sunday morning (28), in São Paulo.

The police officer was shot in the head during an attempted execution on Saturday morning (27), on Avenida Goiás, in São Caetano do Sul, Greater São Paulo.

According to CNN Brasil, the lieutenant was leaving a gym when he was surprised by two boys on a motorcycle. On that occasion, the suspects stopped next to Pimentel on an avenue and fired shots.

According to authorities, Ronickson received first aid from Samu (Mobile Emergency Care Service) while still at the scene and was taken to a hospital unit by the Águia helicopter from the PM Air Group.

This Sunday morning, the Military Police reported that Ronickson remains hospitalized in the ICU of the Hospital Estadual Mário Covas, in Santo André, under continuous neurological monitoring.

The information released is that the officer's health condition remains in a very serious but stable condition.
